Welcome to my art blog.

This is where you'll find some of the things I'm trying to accomplish... a little of this and that. Paintings, photography, collage and sewing...every artful endeavor helps me keep my sanity in this mixed up world.

Chilly spring

It's turning out to be a chilly spring with a lot of rain and wind....April showers and all that.  Anxious for the May flowers.  This is a new negative-shape acrylic on canvas.

Spring Dreaming

Well, they weren't kidding about this being a harsh winter here in the Pacific NW.  Seems like it's been one winter storm after another.  I know, I shouldn't complain to those living in places that experience WINTER every year, but we don't live in the Pac NW for harsh winters, thank you very much.  I'm ready for SPRING in a big way.

These are two new paintings from a series of abstract florals inspired by my spring flower fantasies, currently listed for sale on my Daily Paintworks site.

Red Primroses

If you were somewhere off the planet yesterday, you may have missed that fact that once again the Pacific Northwest has obtained on-the-map status due to the spectacular victory of the Seattle Seahawks over the Denver Broncos.  I personally am not a huge sports fan, but I was impressed by the unity of spirit of the "12th Man".   I made soup and blissfully painted my way through all the excitement.
