A couple more end-of-summer florals. Each one is different.
Welcome to my art blog.
This is where you'll find some of the things I'm trying to accomplish... a little of this and that. Paintings, photography, collage and sewing...every artful endeavor helps me keep my sanity in this mixed up world.

End of summer florals
These acrylic on canvas florals are becoming some of my favorite artistic pursuits. So relaxing with an element of surprise in what emerges from the underpainting.

What's in a name?
I think friends are a good source of help in naming a painting. The name "Bunions" came to mind while imagining an apt title for this painting, but I went with my friend's "The Last Time I Danced". Much better.

Fancy Shoes
It's been a very long time since I've worn high heels, but I can still remember the pain. Painting them is way more fun. This is acrylic on canvas, 10" x 10" and will be available in the near future through my Etsy store (whimrab) or Dailypaintworks.com

Latest work
Sometimes it feels like I'm a leaf floating on a current of river water...bumpy and undirected. This 30" x 30" acrylic on canvas is on its way to an auction early 2018.

Spring Dreaming
Well, they weren't kidding about this being a harsh winter here in the Pacific NW. Seems like it's been one winter storm after another. I know, I shouldn't complain to those living in places that experience WINTER every year, but we don't live in the Pac NW for harsh winters, thank you very much. I'm ready for SPRING in a big way.
These are two new paintings from a series of abstract florals inspired by my spring flower fantasies, currently listed for sale on my Daily Paintworks site.
