Welcome to my art blog.
This is where you'll find some of the things I'm trying to accomplish... a little of this and that. Paintings, photography, collage and sewing...every artful endeavor helps me keep my sanity in this mixed up world.

There Goes the Neighborhood
There is something about living "inside the city limits" that makes one think that certain remote country occurrences don't happen....like visits from wild animals. That was before yesterday when this guy paid a brief visit to my yard. With all the development in the area, it may not be the last time he wanders through. Last seen heading toward Costco. Clean up on aisle 9?

Saying Goodbye
Well, after sharing my life with these three paintings for a year or so, I will be sending them off to live with their new family in Wisconsin. Am I the only artist who forms an attachment to my paintings, who feels a bit of a loss when they sell? That is the point of painting them in the first place, right? To send them out into the world with the love that I've poured into creating them. I need to paint three more very soon.
