Welcome to my art blog.
This is where you'll find some of the things I'm trying to accomplish... a little of this and that. Paintings, photography, collage and sewing...every artful endeavor helps me keep my sanity in this mixed up world.

Two for the show
Once in awhile, I find myself indicating I'd like to create a body of work for a show, knowing full well that life will spin out of control before I get the paintings done. Such was the case when I signed up to participate in an upcoming show July 5, 2019 at the Allied Arts Gallery in Bellingham, WA. I'm happy to report that seven paintings were completed, professionally photographed and ready to hang four days ahead of schedule. These are two of the four "totems", 18" x 36", acrylic on hardboard.

Putting A Bird On It
It would seem I'm currently into a pink series. Two new cards for spring. I'm still loving the abstraction of a random bouquet and I hope to pass that enthusiasm on to my class June 9 at Dakota Art in Bellingham.

Spring Chicks
Once again, I was privileged to share everything I know about watercolor with six creative ladies at Bellingham Dakota Art. The four-hour class yielded six beautiful works. I think everyone did a fantastic job and I hope they take what they learned and create many more paintings.

Retro Dial-Up
This was the life line to the world beyond the walls of my childhood home. It was a very important piece of technology, one that could mean the difference between staying home or being out with friends. Not too much has changed.

A White Christmas Somewhere
Although it's uncharacteristically warm here in the Pacific Northwest corner of the U.S., I'm confident that somewhere there will be a white Christmas. Good for them. We don't have to shovel it this year.

Wisdom, Focus, Freedom. Time doesn't erase what happened on that horrible day. We can only resolve to be watchful and see that it doesn't happen again.
